Educational qualifications required : Preferably Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Infomatics
Experience: Candidate needs to have at least 8-10 years of experience as a healthcare research analyst with data management and quantitative analysis skills
Roles and Responsibilities
Development of Health Risk Assessment surveys through extensive research and analysis to meet client needs
Maintain repositories of validated survey tools such as CAHPS, HCAHPS, HRA, GAD, PHQ-9, MMAS widely used for US healthcare Industry
Conducting literature searches using databases such as PubMed, NCBI, Cochrane, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and other literature search engines
Market research and Competitor analysis for products and services
Able to work closely with clients to understand requirements and business needs
Proactively track developments in healthcare IT, including standards, technologies and workflows.
Good understanding of healthcare market and payment reforms
Proactively identify where key market opportunities exist in health care
Able to clearly articulate key players and competitors in various domains of the health care ecosystem
Competent in understanding data from wearables such Fitbit, Jawbone and other devices to provide persuasive insights
Drawing business and visual insights from data
Develop and manage content for various products ranging from Health-care Platform to Personal Health Record
Content editor for organizational newsletter
Compile important medical data using computer-based applications, validating, and analyzing data needed. The data is then used to understand the current trends in the health care system and to make well-informed decisions
Design new approaches to health care delivery
Responsible for utilizing data to provide analysis and research related to the quality, utilization, provision, payment and reporting of health care services.
The individual must work with departments within to coordinate analytics to enhance operational efficiencies.
Identify key indicators that can be tied to plan strategy and highlight specific indicators for deeper analysis and discussion. Make recommendations to retire or revise other indicators that do not warrant close review.
Communicate and translate raw data and information between different groups. Use data to show end results and impact of actions.
Interact with other Healthcare Analytics staff.
Develop methods for collecting and analyzing data using various sources and reporting systems.
Present information in a way that is concise, clear and easily accessible to all users.
Present data analysis, and participate plan meetings as needed.
Works with clinical and non-clinical users to understand reporting needs, and ensure that reporting is done in a clear and concise manner.
Prepare projection analyses on claims and utilization, including underlying trends and risk analysis.
Prepare documentation of all reporting and analysis.
May also be asked to develop initiatives for providing more effective health care strategy, as well as resolve current issues
Prior experience/skillsets required :
Exposure to research in Public health
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, as well as meet time constraints and expectations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation and listening skills
Superior critical thinking, analytical & problem solving skills.
Ability to develop knowledgebase in the healthcare domain
Good exposure to US and global markets with a strong grasp of the fundamental concepts
